Elisa IP Transit is a high-quality service that allows your company to access the global Internet by utilising Elisa’s own national and international backbone network and Elisa’s interconnection agreements. The IP Transit service is suitable for internet service providers and other service operators with a public AS number (autonomous system) and the hardware and competence to operate BGPv4 routing.
DEFENCE AGAINST DENIAL-OF-SERVICE ATTACKS
With the additional DDos Defence service available for Elisa’s IP Transit service, we can detect volumetric denial-of-service attacks targeted at the customer’s network and take the required measures to mitigate the harm to the web service under attack.
When a denial-of-service attack is detected, traffic to the IP address under attack is directed to a traffic scrubber.
